Achieve unsurpassed separation efficiency with driest solids, highest throughput, longest screen life; for your operation.
The EYS Screw Press Separator SP Series comprises seven purpose-engineered models across Standard and Heavy Duty tiers, built to mechanically separate livestock manure, biogas digestate and fibrous organic slurry into a high dry-matter solid fraction and a clarified liquid fraction. Standard models deliver 25 to 30% DM solids at high throughput for everyday separation. Heavy Duty models achieve 35 to 40% DM for the most demanding applications including bedding production and compost. Hard-coated stainless augers, reinforced stainless screens, heavy-duty gearbox and EYS’s proprietary slotted discharge mechanism combine for unsurpassed performance and minimum downtime.
The EYS Screw Press Separator SP Series is a range of seven mechanical solid-liquid separation machines purpose-built to separate livestock manure, biogas digestate and fibrous organic slurry into a high dry-matter solid fraction and a clarified liquid fraction at sustained high throughput rates. With thousands of units operating worldwide across agricultural, biogas, industrial and municipal applications, the SP Series has an established global track record of delivering consistently superior dry matter content, the longest screen replacement intervals in the separation market and continuous trouble-free operation under the most demanding conditions.
The range is structured across two distinct performance tiers to address different operational requirements. The Standard Series — SP400, SP600, SP800 and SP1100, from 2.2 to 7.5 kW — uses a 0.65 mm reinforced stainless screen to produce separated solids at 25 to 30% DM, delivering drip-free, handleable solid output at high throughput for everyday manure management, nutrient separation and slurry storage volume reduction. The Heavy Duty Series — SP600HD, SP800HD and SP1100HD, from 5.5 to 11 kW — uses a 1.0 mm HD screen, HD auger and HD gearbox to produce separated solids at 35 to 40% DM for the most demanding applications where maximum solid dryness is the primary requirement. HD models are the preferred specification for feeding EYS Bedding Composters and for compost production, where the driest possible solid input directly determines fermentation speed and final product quality.
The defining performance advantage of the SP Series is the combination of maximum solid dryness with the longest screen service life in the separation market — a result of meticulous engineering precision applied consistently across both design and manufacturing. The hard-coated stainless steel auger maintains a consistent pressing force and compression profile throughout its service life, resisting the surface abrasion caused by fibrous manure solids that degrades uncoated augers progressively over time. The reinforced stainless steel screen is specifically engineered to the most demanding durability specification available, providing the maximum operational interval between screen replacements of any separator in its class — a commercially significant advantage for high-throughput operations where screen downtime directly reduces daily separation output and profitability.
EYS’s proprietary slotted solid discharge mechanism is the centrepiece of the design. Where conventional discharge systems accumulate material and block under high-fibre or high-solids loading conditions, the slotted mechanism enables continuous, clean solid delivery from the press throughout operation — eliminating the unplanned stoppages that characterise less engineered separator designs in demanding applications. The heavy-duty gearbox ensures consistent torque delivery to the auger under sustained continuous load, maintaining the pressing force required to achieve target solid dryness without mechanical fatigue over time. Dual observation windows on both sides of the separator body allow real-time visual monitoring of the separation process and solid discharge condition during operation, enabling operators to identify changes in screen condition or process behaviour early and respond before output quality is compromised.
Both the auger and screen are designed for rapid field service — accessible and removable without specialist tooling, enabling screen replacement and auger inspection to be completed quickly on the farm without extended machine downtime. An optional solid plug sensor provides automated blockage detection and protective shutdown for installations operating in fully automated continuous separation systems. An optional stainless steel body is available for food processing, brewing, pharmaceutical and other environments where standard cast iron construction would degrade in the process environment. Custom separator platforms — a purpose-built fixed platform for the SP400 and a modular hot-dip galvanised platform for SP600 and larger models — are available to streamline solid fraction handling and operator access at installation. The EYS Screw Press Separator SP Series integrates directly into ENVIROXX complete manure management, biogas digestate processing and industrial dewatering system configurations as the primary solid-liquid separation unit.
