GET IT DONE! Robust, self-propelled, tracked, high-throughput compost turning – across every application.
The EYS-50 Self-Propelled Turner is a crawler-track windrow turning machine engineered to deliver outstanding process performance across the most demanding organic material management applications. Powered by a 250 kW Deutz TCD 7.8 L6 engine at Tier 4 Final emission class, the EYS-50 processes windrows up to 5 x 2.15 m at throughputs to 4,000 m³/h. A 1,200 mm variable-speed turning drum, crawler track drive and a compact transport configuration combine to produce a versatile, high-capacity machine operable by a single operator across soil remediation, composting and digestate processing sites.
The EYS-50 Self-Propelled Turner is a high-capacity crawler-track windrow turning machine purpose-engineered to deliver robust, efficient process performance across the most demanding organic material management applications in composting, soil remediation and digestate processing. Powered by a Deutz TCD 7.8 L6 six-cylinder diesel engine at 250 kW and Tier 4 Final emission class — with an alternative configuration at 260 kW and 350 hp — the EYS-50 processes windrows up to 5 x 2.15 m in cross-section at throughputs of up to 4,000 m³/h, making it one of the highest-capacity mobile turning machines available for professional composting operations.
The 1,200 mm diameter turning drum operates across a continuous variable speed range from 0 to 210 rpm, enabling the operator to match drum turning intensity precisely to the material being processed. High-moisture sewage sludge and compacted manure composting rows benefit from lower-speed, high-torque turning that fully breaks the windrow and exposes fresh material to aeration; dry green waste and pre-composted organic material can be turned at higher speeds to maximise throughput across large-volume pad areas. This variable-speed control gives the operator a single machine capable of handling all six verified composting and remediation input types — from soil bioremediation and contaminated ground treatment through to high-quality finished compost production for horticulture, landscaping and agricultural land improvement.
Crawler track drive is a deliberate design choice for the EYS-50. Wheeled turners lose traction and consistent speed on the wet, compacted and irregular surfaces typical of outdoor composting pads and remediation sites — particularly after rain or during wet season operations. The EYS-50’s crawler tracks maintain stable contact and consistent propulsion across all surface conditions, ensuring the drum engagement depth and travel speed remain consistent throughout the turning pass regardless of surface variation. Travel speed is adjustable from 10 to 57 m/min, giving operators the control to balance throughput rate against turning quality for any combination of material and windrow dimensions.
The EYS-50 is positioned as a multi-process platform. Beyond primary windrow turning and aeration, the machine system supports shredding, mixing and separation functions, enabling operators to expand into adjacent applications or optimise existing processing steps without additional equipment investment. The expandable options platform allows the machine to be configured with additional equipment to match specific application requirements — a commercially important capability for both on-farm and contract composting operators who may handle different material streams across different sites throughout the year.
At approximately 16.5 t in operating configuration, the EYS-50 transports in a 5,500 x 2,900 x 3,300 mm envelope, enabling standard low-loader transport between sites without an oversized load permit. Single-operator design keeps on-site labour requirements to a minimum across extended turning sessions. The machine integrates directly into ENVIROXX composting and organics recycling system configurations as the primary windrow turning and aeration unit in complete compost production plant setups.
