Features & Benefits

Load-Dependent Feed Control Feed rate to the trommel drum is automatically regulated based on actual processing load, ensuring the effective screen surface operates at consistent optimal utilisation throughout, maintaining separation quality even when input material volume, moisture or density varies.
Interchangeable Market-Proven Drum The drum is specifically designed for fast, straightforward exchange in the field, enabling operators to switch between material grades and perforation sizes within a single working day, a commercially significant advantage for contractors handling multiple material streams across different sites.
Integrated Rotating Cleaning Brush A continuously running cleaning brush keeps the drum perforation clear throughout operation, preventing screen blinding from moisture and fine particles and sustaining maximum effective screening area without operator intervention, critical for maintaining throughput during high-moisture compost and soil screening.
7-Inch Colour Display Control Unit All machine functions are operated from a clear 7-inch colour touchscreen display, providing intuitive process control, live machine status and fault indication from a single operator interface, reducing the training time required for new operators and streamlining daily start-up and shutdown procedures.
Optional Telematics and RF Remote Control An available telematics system provides remote monitoring of machine data, operational status and service alerts from any location. An optional RF remote control allows the operator to manage machine functions from a safe distance during material infeed and conveyor operations.
Reverse Fan Cooling System The standard automatic reverse fan completely reverses airflow within seconds by rotating all fan blades to their optimal position. clearing radiator blockages caused by material dust and fine particles without stopping the machine or requiring manual cleaning intervention during operation.
Adjustable Discharge Conveyors Discharge conveyor angle is adjustable to suit stockpile height and site layout requirements. An optional flow divider on the conveyor provides directional control of material discharge, enabling more precise stockpile positioning without repositioning the machine on site.
Large Adjustable Infeed Hopper The standard 6 m³ adjustable infeed hopper ensures consistent, efficient material flow to the drum. Volume is optionally expandable to approximately 8.5 m³ for high-volume wheel loader or telehandler feeding operations, reducing infeed cycle frequency and operator fatigue on long processing days.

Full Description

The EYS Trommel Screen is a mobile drum screening machine engineered to deliver maximum screening efficiency, precise material fraction separation and continuous trouble-free operation across a wide range of organic and inorganic screening applications. Available in two model sizes: the EYS-5 and EYS-6, both machines are powered by a Deutz TCD 2.9 L4 engine producing 55 kW at Tier 4 Final emission class, meeting current European environmental compliance requirements. The EYS-5 delivers an effective screening surface of approximately 22.5 m² through an 1,800 mm diameter by 4,700 mm drum at up to 120 m³/h; the EYS-6 increases drum diameter to 2,000 mm and length to 5,500 mm, raising effective screening surface to approximately 30.2 m² and throughput to 180 m³/h.

The core performance advantage of both machines is load-dependent feed control, a system that automatically regulates material feed rate to the trommel drum based on actual processing load. This ensures the screening surface consistently operates at optimal utilisation regardless of variation in input material volume, moisture content or bulk density, maintaining separation quality throughout an extended screening day without requiring operator adjustment. The interchangeable drum is a specifically engineered market differentiator: the drum is designed for rapid exchange in the field, enabling operators to swap between different perforation sizes within a single working day to process different material grades without returning the machine to a workshop or losing significant operational time. Drum perforation in circular or square profile is available in customer-specified sizes from 10 to 80 mm, covering the full range from fine compost grading at 10 mm through coarse biomass fraction separation at 80 mm.

A continuously running rotating cleaning brush maintains drum screen performance by preventing perforation blinding from moisture and fine particle adhesion throughout operation — eliminating the manual cleaning interventions required on unbrished trommel designs and sustaining maximum effective screening area across high-moisture compost, sewage sludge and wet soil applications where blinding is a persistent operational challenge. The cooling system incorporates an automatic reverse fan that completely reverses airflow within seconds by rotating all fan blades simultaneously to their optimal position, clearing radiator blockages caused by fine material dust without stopping the machine, an essential feature for sustained operation in the heavy dust environment of biomass and compost screening.

Machine operation is managed through a 7-inch colour touchscreen display that provides intuitive control of all machine functions, live operating status and fault indication from a single interface. An optional RF remote control extends operational flexibility by allowing the machine to be controlled from a safe distance during loader feeding and material handling operations. An optional telematics system provides full remote monitoring of machine data, status and service indicators from any connected device, enabling remote management of fleets across multiple sites and proactive maintenance scheduling without requiring a site visit. Both models are supplied with separate undersize and oversize discharge conveyors with adjustable angle settings and an optional flow divider, enabling direct two-stream separation into distinct stockpiles without secondary re-handling. The standard infeed hopper of approximately 6 m³ is optionally expandable to 8.5 m³ for high-volume wheel loader or telehandler feeding operations. Both machines fold to a transport width of 2,550 mm for standard road transport, enabling rapid site-to-site relocation. Optional equipment including a magnetic drum for metal removal, a stone grid to protect the drum from coarse material damage, a modular rear-mounted wind sifter and an automatic lubrication system further extend the operational capability of both models across specialist applications.
