EYS addresses every mixing, transfer and agitation requirement with a single modular platform.
The EYS Long Shaft Mixer Pump Series is a fully configurable family of vertical long shaft units spanning seven distinct series — Mix Pump, Mix Pump with Nozzle, Vertical Pump, Vertical Pump with Nozzle, Flush Pump, High Pressure Pump and Verti-Mix. Available in motor powers from 5.5 kW to 37 kW, pit installation depths from 2 to 6.2 metres and eight shaft length configurations per series, the range addresses every mixing, transfer and agitation requirement across agricultural, biogas and wastewater operations from a single modular platform.
The EYS Long Shaft Mixer Pump Series is a comprehensively engineered family of vertical long shaft units designed to address every mixing, agitation and slurry transfer requirement across agricultural, biogas and wastewater operations. Seven distinct series — the Mix Pump, Mix Pump with Nozzle, Vertical Pump, Vertical Pump with Nozzle, Flush Pump, High Pressure Pump and Verti-Mix — are each purpose-designed for a specific combination of media density, operating function and site condition. An eighth variant, the PTO Mix Pump, extends the family to tractor-driven portable operation for multi-pit management across large-scale farms. Together, the series forms the most comprehensive long shaft mixing and pumping platform available for slurry management applications.
All electric series share a common drive architecture: an electric motor powers a heavy-duty vee belt and pulley mechanism that drives the vertical long shaft, which simultaneously operates the mixer propeller and the pump fan through a single spindle movement. This unified drive approach maximises mechanical efficiency by combining agitation and transfer into one continuous operation — eliminating the need for separate agitation equipment and reducing the number of mechanical drive components that require maintenance. Pumping capacity and mixing performance scale proportionally with motor selection across the full power range from 5.5 kW to 37 kW.
The Mix Pump (MP) and Mix Pump with Nozzle (MPN) series deliver full simultaneous mixing and pumping for aqueous slurry, with the option to close the pump outlet and operate in mixing-only mode. The MPN variant adds a nozzle and valve assembly that redirects pump output back into the pit when the valve is closed, using the pressurised return flow to produce a recirculation mixing action that significantly increases agitation efficiency across larger pit volumes without any additional equipment. The Vertical Pump (VP) and Vertical Pump with Nozzle (VPN) series perform the same functions for low-density slurry below 12% DM — typically collection pit applications from milking parlours and delivery areas — where mixing function is not required but transfer efficiency and nozzle recirculation remain operationally valuable.
The Flush Pump (FP) addresses a distinct operational requirement: high-volume low-pressure transfer for manure alley flushing, channel cleaning and washdown systems. The specially designed flush pump housing reduces pressure and maximises flow rate output, delivering consistent flush-water volume to keep alleys and walkways clean with reliable, repeatable performance at each flush cycle. The High Pressure Pump (HPP) occupies the opposite end of the performance envelope: a purpose-designed high-pressure pump fan increases maximum head, enabling slurry transfer to elevated storage locations, elevated reception tanks and extended-distance distribution where standard pump heads are insufficient. The Verti-Mix (VM) provides pure agitation without transfer function — a mixer-only unit for applications where homogenisation of pit contents is required before a separate pump handles transfer.
Across all series, the hot-dip galvanised structural body provides long-term corrosion resistance against aggressive slurry media. Special alloy propellers and cutting blades deliver high abrasion resistance and handle fibrous media including long straw, while blades positioned behind the propeller and pump fan prevent wire, rope, hay and similar materials from wrapping around rotating components and causing unplanned stoppages. Remote oil lines to the gearbox and bearings with an active lubrication system and oil level gauge allow routine lubrication servicing from above ground level without unit removal. A purpose-designed wall mounting and demounting kit enables straightforward installation and seasonal removal for inspection. All series are available in eight shaft length configurations from 6 to 20 foot, covering installation depths from 2,000 to 6,200 mm, and integrate directly into ENVIROXX complete slurry management system configurations.
