INLINE MACERATOR

Eliminate blockages, protect your system and keep production running continuously.

A fully automatic inline macerator that separates, shreds and homogenises fibrous slurry to protect all downstream pumps and equipment.

The EYS Inline Macerator is a fully automatic stainless steel maceration unit that combines separation, shredding and homogenisation in a single inline body. As slurry passes through, gravity isolates heavy foreign objects into a base stone trap while self-sharpening blades reduce fibrous matter including straw, wood and grass into a consistent, pumpable medium. An automatic reverse function defeats blockages without operator intervention. Available in three model sizes from 2.2 kW to 5.5 kW, it protects every downstream component and cuts pump power demand.

Product Advantages

  • Protects all downstream pumps and separators from foreign object damage and wear.
  • Homogenised output reduces pump power demand and extends pump service life.
  • Gravity stone trap isolates metal and stone without interrupting material flow.
  • Automatic reverse defeats blockages immediately, eliminating manual intervention and unplanned downtime.
  • Self-sharpening blades maintain cutting performance and reduce blade replacement frequency substantially.
  • Three model sizes scale precisely to match any site throughput requirement.
  • Full stainless steel construction ensures corrosion resistance and long structural service life.

Features & Benefits

Automatic Reverse Function The system detects blockages on contact with coarse or hard material and instantly reverses blade rotation, repeating until the obstruction is macerated — with no operator input required at any point.
Self-Sharpening Cutting Blades Wear-resistant blades maintain sharp cutting edges throughout their service life. As blades wear, the blade mechanism adjusts to restore cutting geometry — maximising blade longevity before any replacement is needed.
Reversible Cutter Screen The cutter screen is reversible for use on both sides, effectively doubling its serviceable lifespan before replacement and reducing the frequency and cost of screen-related maintenance interventions.
Gravity Stone Trap Heavy foreign objects including stones and metal parts are separated by gravity and collected at the base of the body. Accumulated debris is cleared periodically via the dedicated cleaning flange without disrupting operation.
Full Stainless Steel Construction The entire unit is manufactured from Stainless Steel 1.4301 (AISI 304), providing comprehensive corrosion resistance across agricultural, biogas and wastewater environments and supporting a long structural service life.
Cleaning Flange Access A dedicated cleaning flange provides direct access to the stone trap and internal components for routine servicing. All wear parts are accessible without full disassembly, minimising scheduled maintenance time on site.
Combined Separation and Maceration A single inline body performs separation of foreign matter, maceration of fibrous solids and homogenisation of the output medium — eliminating the need for separate pre-treatment equipment upstream of pumps and separators.
Three Model Range IM3, IM5 and IM10 models scale from 2.2 kW to 5.5 kW across flow rates from 180 to 600 m³/h, giving precise sizing for any farm, biogas plant or wastewater treatment application.

Full Description

The EYS Inline Macerator is a fully automatic, all stainless steel maceration unit engineered to protect downstream pumps, separators and process equipment from the damage caused by fibrous matter, foreign objects and coarse solids in agricultural, biogas and wastewater slurry streams. Field tested with Belgian farm operators since 2018 and now available globally in three model sizes, it resolves one of the most persistent operational problems in manure management: the progressive equipment damage and unplanned downtime caused by pumping unprocessed slurry containing long straw, stones, metal fragments, wood and other disruptive matter.

The EYS Inline Macerator combines three functions in a single inline body. As slurry enters the unit, heavy and dense foreign objects — stones, metal parts and other settled solids — are separated by gravity and collected in the base stone trap, where they remain isolated from the flow until cleared through the dedicated cleaning flange. All floating and suspended fibrous material including straw, grass, wood and fibre is carried by the flow to the cutting screen, where self-sharpening rotating blades macerate solids to a consistent particle size. The processed material is simultaneously homogenised during maceration, producing a uniform, pumpable medium that flows efficiently through downstream pipe systems with reduced resistance and reduced pump power demand.

Blade performance is sustained automatically throughout the operating life of the unit. As blades wear progressively, the blade mechanism adjusts to restore cutting geometry — allowing blades to be used until they are fully worn before any replacement is required. The cutter screen is reversible, providing two usable cutting surfaces from a single component and halving screen replacement frequency. Together, these design decisions significantly reduce the lifecycle cost of wear part management compared to conventional macerator designs.

The automatic reverse function is a defining operational advantage. When the system detects resistance consistent with a blockage caused by coarse or hard material, it immediately reverses the direction of blade rotation, applying cutting force from the opposite side of the obstruction. This cycle repeats automatically until the material is macerated and flow resumes. The reverse function also maintains consistent sharpness of both blade edges and cutting screen contact points across the full operational period, sustaining optimal cutting efficiency and contributing to lower power draw over the operating life of the machine.

Three model sizes address the full range of site throughput requirements. The IM3 at 2.2 kW handles flow rates to 180 m³/h for smaller farm or single-line applications; the IM5 at 3 kW suits mid-scale operations at up to 300 m³/h; and the IM10 at 5.5 kW serves large-scale agricultural, biogas and municipal installations at up to 600 m³/h. All models are constructed entirely from Stainless Steel 1.4301 (AISI 304), providing comprehensive corrosion resistance across aggressive slurry environments and ensuring long structural service life without surface degradation. The EYS Inline Macerator integrates directly into ENVIROXX pumping and separation system configurations as the primary upstream protection component in any complete slurry management installation.
